You will get one email at the time of shipping with the tracking info and printing instructions with
the data-imprinting Word file (.doc) template attached.
You will need only a computer and a laser printer and the only software you need is just
word-processing software. If you are not sure that you have that, our instructions included a
link to FREE word processing software that works just fine.
You simply use the word-file template to print tests on cheap, plain white paper so that
you can check and adjust (if needed) the alignment and printing registration on YOUR
computer and printer till you have it perfect, then save the file and print the data you
need on your MCOs as you go.
Our data-imprinting templates allows you to print everything on the front of the MCO in one shot.
Everything from your Manufacturer Name (or logo) at the top, to the the vehicle info,
the dealer/distributor info, and the signature area - even your company's manufacturer's rep signature

WHAT ARE MCOs and MSOs....
The terms "MSO" (Manufacturers Statement of Origin) and "MCO" (Manufacturers Certificate of Origin) are very frequently used interchangeably.
The MCO is really the modern and universally-accepted version of the MSO but the term MSO still generically applies to both.
The MCO (aka MSO) serves as the manufacturers title
-- and "birth certificate" -- for a vehicle, component (such as a frame or engine) or other product.
The form describes the item in terms of it's aspects and characteristics as well as
identifying marks --
USDOT VIN number and/or serial number.
Additionally, the MCO
conveys (transfers) that vehicle, component or product to the first purchaser ( Dealership, distributorship, store, or user/customer ) and often
on the back of the form are assignment areas to transfer the vehicle or product from
the first buyer to the next buyer and so on.
Frequently, the first buyer (on the front of the MCO) is a dealership,
distributorship or store.
So the MCO - Manufacturers Certificate of Origin - is the "fancy", high-standard, modern, certificate version of the old plain-jane MSO.
Modern MCOs are often referred to as "50-State MCO" because they are accepted everywhere as the modern version
of the MSO.
In fact, the 50-State MCO is actually the WORLDWIDE MCO as defined by the
International Standards Organization in cooperation with the AAMVA design team.
The MCO is designated to have very high standards for paper, inks, and other security devices that have generally
been designated by the AAMVA
(the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators) representing the vehicle industry
and DMVs. etc
Some DMVs and other agencies MAY accept an old plain-paper MSO for some things - like
motorcycle frames, engines, trailers, etc - but then again, maybe they won't accept them.

The front side of the MCO which you print the data on using our template, sells (conveys) the vehicle from the manufacturer to the seller.
In many cases with small and medium size companies, your company may be both the manufacturer and the seller.
The back side of the MCO (to be filled in by pen) sells the vehicle from the dealer to the first customer.
The seller signature on the back MAY need to be notarized in your state.
